A note on project scope & licensing

I am not a licensed contractor. California law (Business & Professions Code §7048) requires that anyone performing home improvement work valued at $1,000 or more — including labor and materials combined, per project — be licensed by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB).

Castro Valley Handyman handles projects under this $1,000 threshold. For larger jobs, structural work, or anything requiring permits, I'll always recommend you hire a licensed contractor — and I'm happy to suggest one.
